Qualifications:
1. College degree or higher in a technical discipline
2. Fluent spoken and written English language
3. 5-10 years experience in senior production management, preferably in a foreign invested entity
4. Proven ability to achieve production targets while controlling production costs
5. Experience and understanding of lean manufacture
6. Proven ability to develop and manage a multi shift production team
7. Proven ability to drive continuous improvement within the production process
8. Experience of process industry manufacturing (leather, chemical, paper etc.) preferred but not essential
Job description:
1. Recruit and develop a full production team including direct workers
2. Manage the start up of production within the new ECCO Tannery
3. Manage a multi shift production team
4. Manage the engineering maintenance function
5. Manage the planning function
6. Manage production resources to consistently achieve production targets and on-time delivery
7. Control manufacturing costs within budget constraints
8. Drive continuous improvement within the manufacturing process in line with lean manufacturing principles
9. Ensure strict company health & safety policies are adhered to and actively manage employee safety to ensure zero accidents
10.Liaise closely with the technical function to ensure that strict product quality standards are maintained with a target of zero product defects
11.As a member of the company management team, take a proactive role in driving overall company performance
